Harry, the leader and mastermind behind the evil doll's plan to take over the world.

The Dolls in their hideout.
Attack Of The Evil Dolls is generally considered the pinnacle of Johnny Lion’s creations to date. It is the sequel to his previous film, “Empire”. ‘Attack’ is based on the fact that during Empire, besides the Scarecrow and Billy, some of their other friends from the underworld (the five evil dolls, like Billy) also came across on the mysterious bridge to our world. When the Lion (played by Johnny Lion) destroyed the Scarecrow and Billy, he also destroyed part of that bridge, thus trapping the evil dolls in our world. The evil dolls are Harry, the wise and ruthless leader, Willy (brother of Billy), the very ambitious second-in-command, Rip, the child-like prankster, Clyde, the clown who specializes in scaring people, and Pockets, the master thief. They live under Opal College (Olympic College). They plot a devious and ingenious plan to rebuild the bridge to bring over more evil friends from the underworld and to conquer our world. They capture a student, Carolyn, played by Jessica Johnson. The Lion, their arch-enemy, must try to stop them and save Carolyn before it’s too late.

The Lion, original doombringer and now savior of the world.
This film is the last one that Johnny shot on super-8 sound movie film. It was, in turn, converted to VHS. A local contributor to this film was a Port Orchard-based band called "Lather", providing a rock/grunge soundtrack. The classical portions of this soundtrack were from a music production company called "Fresh Music". Johnny surely pushed this medium to the limit in this great work. The grand, gothical epic encompasses all that Johnny is in a film-maker. It is dark and exciting with special effects and a tremendous story not seen in this genre in a long time. Though it has the classic struggle between good and evil, it also touches on some important moral issues of today. And last, but not least, it has a very touching and bizarre love story between the Lion and Carolyn. In many people’s opinion, it is the best fantasy/horror film ever made in Kitsap County. I have to agree!!!
