DTF is announcing a new "Snarky: King of Clowns" drawing contest! If you would like to enter, submit your original drawn/painted/chicken scratched/graffiti'd art depicting Snarky in all his "King of Clowns" glory. The picture must be colored or fully shaded, and must also include Little Bob, the living ventriloquism doll, as the court jester (check out the background of
Snarky’s World for a picture of Little Bob, then click on Album for pictures of Snarky himself!). The best picture will win $40 in COLD HARD CASH and a special gift from Snarky’s cold, black heart!
If you’d like to enter, either hand-deliver your picture to Johnny or e-mail a high-quality scan to dreamtownfilms at hotmail dot com. Entries are due by January 31 at 11:59pm PST. Encourage your friends, families, wee ones, and pets to enter! All entries will be showcased the DTF Website to show off to the world!
In other news, we got new business cards, and they are cooler than ever! Ask me if you’d like your own piece of Snarky to carry in your heart (or your wallet) with you everywhere. Check it out on Snarky’s Album!

WOOOOOOT, WE DID IT! WE GOT OUR FIRST MOVIE ONLINE! After many years of wishing and doing nothing about it, we finally got
SNARKY'S TIPS FOR DATING uploaded to the site. You can either download the full, high-quality version for your sacred archives, or you can just watch the mini version on the miniSnarkTV on the STFD page (which is just as awesome, but awesomely smaller!). Either way, give us your feedback and praise (praise only, please).
Watch Snarky's Tips for Dating now!

p.s. We broke the guestbook... probably like a year ago. Sorry to all the 2001 awesome people that tried to sign but it was brokie (really, that's how many messages I had when I checked it!). We will fix it as soooooooon as the webchick has time.

Yay,
the very last scene before the funhouse scene has been filmed! Filming went well, and we took some pictures of the set that we’ll post up here once they’re developed. We also brought a new person into the filming crew, John S. (what an awesome name)! He is an old friend I ran into again after many years, and he was more than ecstatic when the position was offered to him. Congrats on joining the team – we love you, maaan! Speaking of which, I’m going to take a picture of the crew while we’re filming for everyone to see.
On another note, the Snarky t-shirts are a big hit! They’re flying off the shelves (aka Johnny’s plastic grocery bag) at light speed! I only got a few to start, but have had requests for more. There’s only one design right now (the background of Snarky’s World), but we will make more designs soon. The quality of the shirts was surprisingly good, but I like the white shirt a bit better because it’s a real print directly on the shirt, whereas the black is iron-on. Either way, CHECK OUT THE NEW DTF STORE!

The 2007 BKAT Awards ceremony was a smashing success! Snarky was a masterful master of ceremonies! He put on an outrageous performance, which scared the living daylights out of the audience. We started off with smoke and music with Snarky parading around in his new costume and crown (4" platform boots with skull jester heads!), including a ride around the room on his Snarky Scooter. He told a few jokes and got a hysterical response from a 4-year-old in the front row, then proceeded to announce the winners for each category. Oh, and guess what!? WE WON! Lady In Waiting won the award for the On The Edge category! We totally own that category (remember the last BKAT Awards? Snarky's Tips for Dating won!). Nels accepted the award for us. Overall, Snarky's performance went swimmingly (what a fun word). He had a fight with himself, battled a rubber snake, and just acted... well... Snarkish, which I guess just means extremely, extremely weird. At the end of the performance he gave out candy to all the children (heh heh, heeeere, my kiddies...). All-in-all, I was really proud of Snarky's performance.
I am looking forward to doing more life performances in the future (that was fun!). We're also going to push forward with Snarky's Funhouse. Now that the costume is all done, I'm figuring it'll be done late this year or early next year (patience, my fellow worshippers!). There may be a few shorts coming out in the mean time.

Have you all seen the new Spiderman movie? I haven’t seen it yet! People have told me it was good, so I probably should go some time soon. On the DTF side of things, I’ve been going to meetings for the BKAT Awards more often. I’ve also turned in two movies for the Awards:
Lady In Waiting for the category of
On The Edge, and
Katie’s Day Off for the
Entertainment category. Hopefully both will win (at least I think they deserve it), but I’ll be happy if one of them wins. Since I won the
On The Edge award at the last ceremony with
Snarky’s Tips For Dating, I think I’m one of the front-runners at least. Here’s to wishing, right? Either way, Snarky’s performance is going to rock the house, although it seems like I may need to
light a fire under his bum to get him going (maybe I should just throw him in one?). Hmm, sounds fun…

Wow… did you notice anything funny about the dates of the last showings? The days… are waaaaaay off. Ha ha! April… fools? We knew you were smart enough to figure it out (I don’t know about us though…). We did get some good feedback from the shows, though, mostly about Johnny dressing up as a woman (playing Katie). Man, the fans just went wild about that!
OK, the entry deadline for the BKAT Awards is May 4th. We’ll be entering two movies; Katie’s Day Off and Lady In Waiting. We’re not sure exactly what categories they’ll be in, but no matter what, let’s hope for some awards! Remember, Snarky’s Tips For Dating won in the last BKAT Awards ceremony in the category of ‘On The Edge’, so cross your fingers and cheer us on! Woo!

Also, on a bitter note, the BKAT Awards have been delayed and moved one month back to Friday, June 1st (to give Snarky more time to prepare, ha ha).

We were on a quiet streak for a while but it's getting busier! I've been laying down music for Snarky's Funhouse. It has been going well, but for me it's the hardest part. Getting the music in the right spot, making sure it's not too loud, but not too quiet, and just making sure it flows with the movie. It's tough stuff!
Snarky has also been getting ready for the upcoming BKAT Awards on Friday, May 4 (self-dubbed Cinco de Fourtho - don't ask). The ceremony will be at the new Norm Dick's Government Center in downtown Bremerton next to the ferry. Snarky has been feverishly making his new threads, which are just absolutely insane. How do jester skull platform boots grab you? Sounds awesome, right? And of course, he wants to tell you about it.
In other news, DTF is starting to work on the "merchandising" side of the house. There will be T-shirts, mugs, paintball guns, firecrackers, and diapers (for the cute evil wee ones). Well... maybe not. We'll have some awesome stuff anyway, which you can buy at an inflated price. Inflation, ya know, kills us all. (Seriously, it won't be too bad.)
We'll keep you informed of all the BKAT info and will send e-mails to all the cool people when it gets closer to the big day (that means you!).
