It all started long ago, when dinosaurs roamed the earth and Johnny was 5. A very lonely child, was he, so lonely that even his bet bunny brought him no emotional happiness. He was (is) a sad, sad child. The world was a very strange place in his eyes, until one day, something miraculous happened. On the way in from the farm, his dad, Jim, found a magic light-stealing box. The box was mesmorizing - it stole light straight from the sky and transformed it into beautiful pictures. His dad, though, was fearful of this magic box; could it contain hidden ancient secrets that were never to be revealed? Does it steal people's souls and store it in the pictures it creates? Because of a fear of the unknown, his dad buried the box far, far into the fields, never to be seen again.
Johnny, though, was interested in this box. He was curious about the mysteries contained within, and could not stop thinking about the magic of the light contained within. So, even though his dad warned him of the dangers, Johnny snuck out one night to find this box. He searched and searched, until he saw a light in the distance. He ran to it, as fast as he could, to find a like jutting out of the ground, flashing on, off, on, off. Quickly he dug up the box, using his bare hands, moving as fast as he could. Finally it appeared! Johnny grabbed it up and started running, laughing with glee and skipping along gayly in the field. After hours and hours of prancing around, he decided to investigate the box further. On it, he found a small button. Intruiged by this little thingamabobber, he pointed it towards the sky and pressed the button down. FLASH!!! Johnny was knocked to the ground, his mind swirling and his eyes clouded. Suddenly the box started making a horrifying, sinister creeking noise. In fear of what was to come, Johnny dropped the box. He tried to run away, but the box was calling out to him, pulling at his very soul, not allowing him to leave. After a while the sound faded away, and a small, thin, white object came out. Johnny reached over, picked it up, and absolutely could not believe his eyes. On it was the image of the full moon - the exact same moon that was in the sky. It was the most amazing thing he had ever seen! He grabbed the box and started flashing light at other objects; the trees, the barn, the horses, the grass - everything he could think of! More and more white objects came out, with an exact copy of everything he had flashed.
Then he realized: this object could change the world. In the morning he showed his dad, who scolded him but was too scared to take the object away, for fear that the demons contained within would unleash their wrath upon him and his family. After a long sigh, and a prayer to the heavens, his dad let him keep the object as long as he promised to never use it for evil.
Of course, Johnny didn't listen to his father. A few years later, Johnny tweaked the object to take moving pictures. At the age of 23, he started following other people around, capturing their every move, and compiling it onto a show called:
Boring Version
When Johnny was a child, his dad, Jim, filmed family movies with his silent regular 8mm movie camera. The whole family loved to watch these movies, but most especially Johnny. Soon he and his 4 brothers started borrowing the camera and made their own mini movies. These were usually just goofy short stories that never made any sense. It was not until Johnny was 24 that he started to write movies of his own that had a script and an interesting story, this first of which was (Dark Light). Over the years his interest in movie-making grew, and after about 8 features and many mini films he coined the term 'Dreamtown Films'. He started moving towards a darker style, shown by his work in Empire. Shortly after came the epic goth sequel, Attack of the Evil Dolls. Ever since, he has been teaming up with friends and family to create various-themed films. Everyone has a lot of fun taking part in the movie, even with the non-hollywood salary. Johnny plans to continue making films using new editing techniques and a more enchanced storyline, just to give everyone a good laugh.
